Kartel Studio brings together watchmaking and original Scottish art. Every dial is individually painted by hand in our St Andrews studio. No two are ever completely identical. Each watch is numbered, certified and created as part of a strictly limited edition—or commissioned as a completely personal one-of-one piece.
We do not produce thousands of identical watches. We create miniature works of art, designed to be worn, remembered and passed on.

Kartel worked with Diageo to create a custom watch that brought its brand identity into a lasting and meaningful form.
Designed as more than a conventional corporate gift, the watch provided a distinctive way to recognise people and strengthen their connection with the business.
Johnnie Walker × Harris Tweed
Johnnie Walker asked for a bespoke watch collection for the window of their Princes Street flagship, to sit alongside a limited-edition Harris Tweed release.
We designed and built it: a navy dial carrying the John Walker & Sons script in yellow, gold case and hardware, and a strap made from offcut tweed from the collaboration bottle bags — cut at twenty degrees and stitched in contrast yellow.
