Kartel Studio brings together watchmaking and original Scottish art. Every dial is individually painted by hand in our St Andrews studio. No two are ever completely identical. Each watch is numbered, certified and created as part of a strictly limited edition—or commissioned as a completely personal one-of-one piece.
We do not produce thousands of identical watches. We create miniature works of art, designed to be worn, remembered and passed on.
Collections
The inaugural work
The inaugural work in the collection captures the Swilcan Bridge beneath an expressive Scottish sky. A modest stone arch some seven centuries old, the bridge spans the burn crossing the closing holes of the Old Course, and it is here that the greats of the game have traditionally bid farewell to St Andrews. Loose, gestural brushwork gives the sky its restless energy, while the bridge is rendered with a quieter, more deliberate hand, anchoring the composition much as it anchors the course.
